During last week three of our fellow citizens went to their long resting place in our city of the dead. On Wednesday Mr. Peterson, of Thrall, who was frozen to death in his attempt to reach home was buried here and as those who had borne him to the grave were returning from the cemetery they were met by the funeral procession following the body of Mr. J. C. Palmer, who had been for number of years one of our most highly esteemed citizens. On Friday Mr. Walter Belknap, another cordially respected citizen was burled. The death angel has reaped an abundant harvest and has taken from our midst those whom we loved to honor and respect, and taught us still more impressively that all flesh is mortal.

Perhaps two men could not have passed from any community leaving more warm personal friends than did Mr. J. C. Palmer and Mr. W. P. Belknap, who were buried in the Goldfield cemetery last week. –Goldfield Gazette.
