Elizabeth Hasbrouck Wald
13 October 1877 --- 16 November 1953

Funeral services for Mrs. W. F. Wald were held Nov. 18 at the First Methodist church with Rev. John Payne officiating. The pallbearers were Lawrence Malo, Raymond Olson, Donald Wald, James Larson, Ernest Jones and Wayne Nelson. Interment was made in Kinkead cemetery [in Alexandria, Douglas County, Minnesota].

Elizabeth Hasbrouck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hasbrouck, was born October 13, 1877, at Grundy Center, Iowa. She attained the age of 76 years, one month and 13 days at the time of her death. She grew up at Grundy Center and on Nov. 24, 1897, at Grundy Center, was married to William F. Wald, who survives her. They lived at Grundy Center until 1912 when they moved to Lake Park, Iowa, where they lived until 1920 when they moved to Douglas county. For the past 10 years they have made their home at Evansville.

She was a member of the Goldfield Methodist Church at Goldfield, Iowa.

She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Elder Olson (Clara) of Alexandria; Mrs. Willard Jones (Viola) of Woolstock, Iowa; Mrs. Clifford Larson (Charlotte) of Alexandria; Mrs. Gerhard Bursch (Alma) of Alexandria; Mrs. Gordon C. Hanson (Alice) of Montevideo, and 2 sons, Edward Ralph Wald of Goldfield, Iowa, and Fredrick Wm. Wald of Springfield, Iowa; 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Mrs. George Hodge of Friendship, Wis., and Mrs. Edithe Hodge of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisc., and 3 brothers, Harry Hasbrouck and Albert Hasbrouck of Goldfield, Iowa, and James Hasbrouck of Grundy Center, Iowa. Two daughters and 2 brothers preceded her in death.
