Services for John F. Howell, 61, of 1001 Harding road, will be at 10 a. m. today at Lilly's Funeral home. Burial will be at Glendale cemetery.

Mr. Howell, a Des Moines resident 18 years, died Monday of a heart attack rat Veterans hospital. He was a member of the Argonne post, American Legion. Mr. Howell, a carpenter, was born in Waitsburg, Neb. [Wash].

Surviving are his wife, Louise; a son, John, of Goodell; a daughter, Mrs. Clara Jane of Clarion; a brother, Norris, of Oskaloosa; and two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Watson of Ames, and Mrs. Kathryn Franzen of Garwin.
