Russell Gene Christopher
3 November 1925 --- 25 August 1976

Russell Gene Christopher was born at Eagle Grove, Iowa to Albert and Almira Sandvig Christopher on November 4, 1925. Five weeks later he received Christian Baptism at Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was confirmed in his Christian faith at Samuel. Lutheran Church on May 21, 1939. He graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1943.

On December 1, 1946 he married Delores Marie Egesdal of Eagle Grove and the following Christmas day became a member of the Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church. They farmed at their present home place since marriage. It was here that his wife found him dead under a combine he was repairing last Thursday afternoon.

Four children survive him: Thomas Gene Christopher, Vincent; Peggy Louise, Mrs. Mike Adams, Eldridge; Sally Ann, Mrs. Roger Brauman, Stratford; and Debra Dee Christopher, Eagle Grove; also, five grandsons. He is survived by his parents, Albert and Almira Christopher, and by four sisters: Jeanette, Mrs. Harold Mueller, St. Louis, Mo.; Dorothy, Mrs. Paul Robb, Kamrar; Marguerite, Mrs. Jack Middleton, Eagle Grove; and Ruby Christopher, Wheeling, Ill.

Services were conducted at Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran Church August 28. Interment at Rose Hill Cemetery.
