Clara Maude Stracke Pressler
5 May 1900 --- 4 January 1974

Mrs. Clara M. Pressler was born May 5, 1900 at Jolley, Ia., the daughter of Alexander and Genettie Bell Lambertson Stracke.

She was united in marriage to Roy Pressler of Eagle Grove on March 3, 1920 at Eagle Grove. The couple made their home in Eagle Grove and had lived here since that time.

Mr. and Mrs. Pressler became the parents of four children, all of whom survive. They are, one son, Thomas Pressler, Bloomington, Minn.; and three daughters: Betty, Mrs. Walter Moffitt, Jr., Eagle Grove; Jeanette, Mrs. Max Ingle, Runnells; and Rosemary, Mrs. Ed Vance, Glenville, Calif.

Mrs. Pressler had been in failing health and had recently returned from Trinity West Hospital, Fort Dodge, to her home where she passed away on Friday, Jan. 4, 1974 at the age of 73 years, 7 months, and 29 days.

In addition to her children, Mrs. Pressler is survived by 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1972; her parents; two brothers, Frank and William Stracke; and two sisters, Lydia Stracke Gray and Mary Alice Stracke Wood.

Mrs. Pressler was a member of the United Methodist Church, 3 M's, Martha Circle, United Methodist Women, and the Worthwhile Class.

Funeral services were held Sunday, January 6 at 2 p.m. in the United Methodist Church, Rev. Donald Forbes officiated, and burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
