25 June 1881 --- 12 November 1974Ray Swenson, 93, died at his home at 125 1/2 West Broadway about noon Tuesday.
Funeral services will be this Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Kastler-Babcock-DeYoung Funeral Home with Rev. W. E. Carlson officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Swenson is survived by two nieces, Mrs. Willard Tokheim of Eagle Grove and Mrs. Robert Blackmore of Santa Clara, Calif.
He was born July 25, 1881 in Stavanger, Norway. After attending schools in Stavanger he came to the United States in 1902. He worked on farms north of Holmes until he retired and moved to Eagle Grove in 1957.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and three sisters, including the late Mrs. Mike Mortvet of Eagle Grove.
