Goldfield—Funeral services for Ira Percy Polmateer, 82, Hot Springs, Ark., were held at the Kastler Funeral Home, Eagle Grove. He died at his home at Hot Springs. The Rev. J. Howard Machlan pastor of the Goldfield Methodist Church, was in charge of services with burial in the Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield.

Mr. Polmateer was born at Goldfield on June 5 [3], 1874, to William and Sarah Polmateer. He spent his boyhood here and later moved to Texas where he was a rancher.

He is survived by his sister, Nellie Matheson, Goldfield, three nieces and three nephews. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Loren, Frank, Joseph, David, Roy and Chauncey.

Ira Percy Polmateer was born to William and Sarah Polmateer, July [June] 5th, 1874, near Luni, Iowa. His boyhood was spent in Goldfield where he received his schooling. Much of his middle life was spent in Texas where he owned a ranch, and in his later years he had located in Hot Springs, Ark., where he passed away at the age of 82 years and 8 [7] months, 23 days.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Nellie Matheson of Goldfield and by three nieces and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his six brothers, Loren, Frank, Joseph, David, Roy and Chauncey.

Services were held at the Kastler Funeral home, Eagle Grove, March 3, with Rev J. Howard Machlan in charge. – Goldfield Gazette

Funeral services for Ira Polmateer, 82, were conducted by the Rev. J. Howard Machlan in the Methodist church in Goldfield at 2 p.m. Sunday. Interment was in Glenwood cemetery. Pallbearers were Dewey Beisell, Norman Gangstead, Robert Sherman, Richard Beisell, Don Sherman and Everett McCutcheon.
