Mrs. Walter Moffitt, Sr. received word this week of the death of her friend, Mrs. Margaret Jensen, formerly of Eagle Grove.

Mrs. Jensen died Sunday in Denison where she had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Ruth Moen, for the past five years. She had been in failing health for five years.

She is also survived by two sons, Bob in Normal, Ill.; and Norman in Alaska. Mrs. Jensen was formerly employed at the Rotary Ann Home.

Margaret Jensen, the daughter of Jens C. and Christiana Sorensen was born November 26, 1894, at Newell, Iowa. She passed away at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital on Dec. 1, 1974 at the age of 80 years and 5 days following a lengthy illness caused by cancer. She was united in marriage to Thorvald M. Jensen on April 6, 1916 in Berkeley, Cal. To this union was born four children — Marian, Robert, Norman and Ruth. She was preceded in death by her husband Thorvald in 1935 and her daughter Marian in 1968. She is survived by her children Robert of Normal, Ill., Norman of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Ruth (Mrs. Olaf) Moen of Denison, twelve grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Also one brother Chris of Dwight, Ill.

Memorial services were held at the Maxwell Funeral Home on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 1974 with Rev. James Cobb officiating. Final interment will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Eagle Grove, Iowa.
