Arthur Eugene Keller, Sr.
27 June 1897 --- 11 January 1949

Funeral services for Arthur E. Keller, 51, will be held Thursday morning at 9:30 in Sacred Heart church, the pastor, Rev. James Slowey will officiate, and interment will be in the family lot, Calvary cemetery.

Mr. Keller died Tuesday afternoon at 1:30, in a Fort Dodge hospital where he had spent the past seven weeks. Since 1943, when his health began to fail, he spent a good share of his time in hospitals in Fort Dodge and Rochester. He had a major operation in Rochester this fall, and returned home in fair health, but was forced to return there about 60 days ago. After a week, it was decided by the doctors there was no help for him, and it was decided he should be taken to a hospital closer home for the attention his condition demanded. He was brought to Mercy hospital in Fort Dodge where he was a patient sufferer through intense pain.

After graduating from Sacred Heart high school Keller began his life as a railroad man, and for years had been in the switch yards of the C. and N. W. railroad here.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, (Dorothea) Mrs. John A. Clinton of Framingham, Mass., two sons, Jack, a medical student at Creighton U., Omaha, Neb., and Arthur Eugene of Los Angeles, Calif., his mother, Mrs. J. F. Keller of this city, and three grandchildren.
