Claude J. Harrah, Jr.
23 September 1926 ---- 17 May 1952

Claude J. Harrah, son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude C. Harrah, was born on September 23, 1926 at Stratford, Iowa and passed away very suddenly on May 17, 1952 at the Mercy Hospital, Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was twenty-five years, seven months, and four days of age at the time of his passing.

After living in many different communities in Iowa, he with his family moved to Eagle Grove, Iowa in 1941. He attended the Eagle Grove High School and graduated with the Class of 1947. After graduating from school, he worked with his father.

On June 26, 1949, he was united in marriage to Evelyn Halgrim, at the Thor Lutheran Church. He later was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith at Thor, Iowa. Due to his health his many occupations have varied. At the present time he was employed at the John Deere Store at Eagle Grove as a parts man.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Evelyn, his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Claude C. Harrah of Eagle Grove, Iowa. One sister, Mrs. Mary Lou Ferrell of Norfolk, Virginia. His grandmother, Mrs. Lige Millard of Stotesbury, Missouri.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 21, 1952 at Wilson Chapel, Eagle Grove, Iowa and Thor Lutheran Church, Thor, Iowa, Rev. O. O. Brandt officiating. Interment was held in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove, Iowa.
