2 August 1921 --- 16 April 1973

Funeral services for a former Eagle Grove resident, Cecil Teems, 51, will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at the Wilson Funeral Home at 2 o'clock. Pastor W. E. Carlson will officiate, and burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. Teems died Monday evening at Veterans Hospital in Des Moines.

He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Noah Martin, Dakota City; Mrs. Martin Grimsley, Fort Dodge; Mrs. Joe Didocka, Westville, Ill.; and five brothers, Emmett, who lives in Michigan, Everett and Gerald of Elmore, Minn., Clayton of Mountain Home, Ark., and John of Indianola.

He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John A. Teems and was born in Eagle Grove, Aug. 2, 1921. He attended the Eagle Grove schools and was a veteran of World War II.
