Alice Thebiay Beer
14 February 1883 --- 22 March 1973

Alice Beer, daughter of Juste and Mary Thebiay, was born in Troy Township, February 14, 1883. She attended the Eagle Grove schools and later became a schoolteacher, having taught several years before her marriage.

She was united in marriage to Louie E. Beer in Eagle Grove and to this union, one daughter, Mildred, was born.

She was a member of the Samuel Lutheran Church and was Past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Beer had been in failing health for several years and had been living at the Rotary Ann Home, where she passed away Thursday evening, March 22, 1973, having reached the age of 90 years, one month, and eight days.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter, Mildred Brown, in November of 1972, nine brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son-in-law, Carroll Brown, of Eagle Grove; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Jones of Weston, Ontario, Canada; and Mrs. Bernice Colfry of Shawnee Mission, Kan.; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 26, 1973 at 2:00 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Marvin L. Dooley officiating. Interment was held on the family lot in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
