2 February 1889 ---- 30 August 1969

Funeral services for Thomas Wagner, 80, Webster City, formerly of Eagle Grove, were held here Tuesday afternoon in the Evangelical Lutheran church, with burial in Rose Hill cemetery.

Mr. Wagner died at the Hamilton County hospital in Webster City Saturday morning where he had been a patient for about a week.

Military graveside services were conducted by the Clarence Shurtz American Legion Post of Eagle Grove.

Surviving are his wife, three sons, Joseph and Everett, both of Eagle Grove; John, Las Vegas, Nev.; two daughters, Mrs. Lillian Rodgers, Northwood; Mrs. Geraldine Price, Webster City; a brother, Amos, Eagle Grove; four sisters, Mrs. Sadie Knutson, Mrs. Elida Moen, and Mrs. Mabel Fisher, all of Eagle Grove; and Mrs. Mary Haynes, La Mesa, Calif.; 13 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Mr. Wagner was born near Eagle Grove, attended rural schools of the area and Waldorf College, Forest City. He married Clara Johnson in 1921 at Belmond and the couple farmed near Eagle Grove until moving to Webster City in 1947. He was a veteran of World War I.
