Sudden death of Robert Klein
Robert V. Klein, 46, RFD 2, Eagle Grove, was dead on arrival at Trinity West Hospital Thursday from an apparent heart attack. Services were at 2 p.m. Monday in the Church of the Open Bible with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Graveside rites were conducted by the American Legion.

Surviving are his wife; his mother, Mrs. Earl Klein, Polson, Mont.; sons: Robert Jr., Duncombe; Danny Lee, Toledo, Ohio; and Rodney, Eagle Grove; daughters: Mrs. Richard Allison, Toledo, Ohio; Mrs. Alfred Cottrell, West Union, W. Va.; Vickie Lynn and LuAnne, both at home; 11 grandchildren; sisters: Mrs. Melvin Mosher, Rinard; and Mrs. Karen Graybill, Boone; brothers: Chester, Columbia Falls, Mont.; Roger, Lyle and Charles, all of Polson; Arthur, Fort Dodge; William, Santa Monica, Calif.; Raymond, Venice, Calif.; Darrell, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; and Earl Jr., Spokane, Wash.

OBITUARY
Robert Verl Klein was born April 29, 1928 at Mountain Lake, Minn., the son of Earl and Cynthia Willard Klein. He received his education in Gilmore City, Iowa. He served for one year in U.S. Navy, being discharged in June of 1946. He worked for Tobin Packing Co. and Gus Glaser Meats in Fort Dodge, and the City of Fort Dodge. In later years, he has worked as a contract painter in the Eagle Grove area.

After the death of his first wife, he was united in marriage to Beulah Read Peterson of Eagle Grove, on October 7, 1960, at Blue Earth, Minn. Robert became ill at his home Wednesday morning and died on the way to a Fort Dodge Hospital.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Earl Klein, Polson, Mont.; his wife and seven children: Robert Verl Klein, Jr., Duncombe; Danny Lee Klein, Toledo, Ohio; Rodney Lloyd Klein, Eagle Grove; Sharon Louise, Mrs. Richard Allison, Toledo, Ohio; Linda Lou, Mrs. Alfred Cottrell, West Union, W. V.; Vickie Lynn Klein and Lu Anne Marline Klein, Eagle Grove; brothers: Chester Klein, Columbia Falls, Mont.; Roger Klein and Lyle Klein, Polson, Mont.; Arthur Klein, Fort Dodge; William Klein, Santa Monica, Calif.; Raymond Klein, Venice, Calif.; Darrell Klein, Coeur D' Alene, Idaho; Charles Klein, Jr., Spokane, Wash.; sisters: Doris, Mrs. Melvin Mosher, Rinard; Mrs. Karen Graybill, Boone; and 11 grandchildren.

He was a member of the Art Klein Orchestra and the Fort Dodge Musicians Association, Local No. 504.

He was preceded in death by his father and twin babies.

Funeral services were held on Monday, July 8, at 2 p.m. in the Church of the Open Bible, Eagle Grove. Dr. Lloyd W. Meyer officiated and burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Legion services were held at the graveside.
