Howard A. Tuttle, 66, of 112 13th Ave. N.W., Altoona, died of a heart ailment Tuesday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery.

Mr. Tuttle was born in Gibbon, Minn., and lived in Altoona for 10 years. He also had lived in Cedar Rapids. He retired in 1983 as a railroad engineer for Iowa Railroad, and he had been a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Altoona American Legion, Masonic Lodge No. 625 in Manly, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2612 in Clarion and Order of the Eastern Star No. 33 in Manly.

Survivors include his wife, Bernadine; a daughter, Janice Rounds of Altoona; a son, James of Altoona; and two grandchildren.

Friends may call after noon today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
