Billy Lee Hanus, of Eagle Grove, Iowa passed away on June 4, 2021 at home from complications of lung cancer. His family was by his side when he passed. He was born on March 18, 1956.

He was preceded in death by his parents Emil (Jr.) August and Lorraine Hanus of Eagle Grove, Iowa, his sisters Janice Lalor and Nancy Lorraine Hanus, both from Eagle Grove, Iowa. He is survived by his wife Julie Dyer of Eagle Grove, Iowa, son Aaron and Jenni Trausch of Monroe, Iowa, two grandsons Nathen & Jarron Trausch, two granddaughters Hayden & Annabelle, and one sister Patsy Hanus-Lindstrom and husband Tony of Webster City. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with his favorite cat Charlie.

Billy worked for Torkelson Construction, Lalor Construction and CS Install in his career.

Billy was a kind-hearted man who was always up for helping others. He will be missed.

A celebration of Life will be held at Doña Martha’s Office at 314 W. Broadway, Eagle Grove, Iowa on June 26, 2021 from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
