Andrew Hubbard

Andrew Hubbard, born October 22, 1872, in Norway, died at his Eagle Grove home. He was baptised
and confirmed in his Christian faith in Norway, and came to the United States at the age of fourteen and worked for relatives near Leland, Ill. His first wife, Signe Olson, died in 1897, shortly after the birth of their daughter Sena, now Mrs. Sloane Lemon of Waterman, Ill. His second wife, Barbara Thompson of Wiota, Iowa, died in November, 1935. They had a son Bernard, who died in infancy. Another son, Elmer Hubbard, lives at Eagle Grove.

For many years Andrew worked as a machinist in Chicago. In 1911 he moved to Eagle Grove and farmed until 1944. He is survived by his third wife, formerly Mrs. Myrtle Clawson, by his son and his daughter, by four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. The last of ten children, five brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services were conducted by Pastor Kenneth R. Torvik at the Kastler Funeral Home Wednesday,
January 2 at 2:00 with interment at Graceland cemetery, Webster City.
