William "Bill" M. Hanson
Des Moines, Iowa
October 15, 1946 ---- June 19, 2021

William M. Hanson, 74, died Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Parkridge Nursing and Rehab Center in Pleasant Hill. Bill donated his body to Des Moines University. He was known by his family and friends as a very giving and caring person to help others. Private family services will be held at a later date.

Bill was born October 15, 1946 in Clarion, Iowa to Lindley and Margaret Anne Hanson. He had received his Bachelor’s Degree and lived in Kentucky prior to moving to Des Moines in 1982. Bill worked as a Nuclear Medical Technician at Des Moines General, and later as a X-Ray Technician at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.

Survivors include his siblings: Jackie Soukup (Dennis Beattie) of Cedar Rapids; Dan (Kate) Hanson of Miconopy, FL; M. Susan (Bill) Stech of Altoona; Joe Hanson of Superior, WI. Also surviving Bill are; nieces and nephews: Darrin Keller, Suzanne Keller, Brent Stech, Wendy Stech, and Chloe (Matt) Hebert; great nieces: Anastasia, Arianna, Julyia, and Myekaa.
