Justin Joseph Thebiay
11 May 1912 --- 21 November 1966

Justin Joseph Thebiay was born May 11, 1912 at Eagle Grove, Iowa to Joseph and Ethel Mathews Thebiay. He joined Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran church on April 25, 1943 at which time he was baptized and confirmed in the Triune faith by Rev. T. J. Severtson. He died suddenly at his farm home of an apparent heart attack on Monday, November 21, 1966 after reaching the age of 54 years, 6 months, and 10 days.

On August 11, 1940 he married Signa Strom. He spent all of his life in the Eagle Grove vicinity, with the exception of a few years at Perry and Sheldon when he was employed by Armour and Co. In 1949 they moved to their present farm home east of Eagle Grove.

Those who mourn his departure are his wife, Signa, 2 sons: Bruce of Astoria, Oregon and Mark of Albert Lea, Minnesota, 1 grandson, Michael, his mother, Mrs. Ethel Thebiay who lives at the Rotary Ann Home; 2 sisters, Elizabeth, Mrs. Bernhard Moklebust of Eagle Grove and Helen, Mrs. Richard Fouts, of Kailua, Hawaii.

Funeral services were held Friday, November 25, 1966 at 2:00 at Eagle Grove Evangelical Lutheran church, Rev. H. W. Schiller. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
