Hans Hansen Sexse
18 May 1881 --- 6 February 1964

Hans Sexse was born May 12, 1881, in Hardanger, Norway [Ullensvang, Hordaland]. He was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith in Norway. Hans came to the United States in 1905 and made his home in Eagle Grove with his uncle Nels Falk.

On Feb. 3, 1912, he was united in marriage to Marie Brekke and they at first made made their home on a farm in Wisconsin for a number of years, then moved back to Eagle Grove and made their home here where Mr. Sexse worked on the railroad and in carpenter work.

Mr. Sexse was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Eagle Grove.

He died Thursday, Feb. 6, in the Taylor Nursing Home of Eagle Grove.

He leaves to mourn his passing: his wife, a sister, one brother, nephews, nieces, and cousins in Norway, and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Nelson and Marshall Meyer of Welcome, Minn.; Mrs. Christena Johnson of Webster City; Mrs. Sam Joberg, Mrs. Alvin Lonning, Ann Falk, Julius Roseland, and Gertrude Pohlman of Eagle Grove.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Feb. 10 at 3:00 p.m. in the Kastler Funeral Home. Rev. Jordan Jacobsen, officiating. Burial was held in the Rose Hill Cemetery of Eagle Grove.
