27 January 1883 --- 10 March 1963

Mrs. Julia Grandgeorge, 80, died Sunday at the Askvig Custodial Home where she had been a resident during the winter. Mrs. Grandgeorge maintained her home on North Wright Ave. but had spent much of the time this past year at the Askvig home on account of illness. She is survived by one son, August, of Eagle Grove, one grandson, two brothers, and one sister, Henry and Ernest Grandgeorge and Mrs. Emil Mourlam all of Webster City.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Mt. Calvary Lutheran church, in charge of Rev. Arthur Oswald of Webster City, interim pastor of the church. Interment was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Grandgeorge, whose maiden name was Julia Grandgeorge, was born in France, and moved with her parents to Woolstock when she was 10 years of age. In 1902, she was married to Charles Grandgeorge, and they farmed until 1941 when they moved to the Wright Ave. address. Mr. Grandgeorge died in 1949.
