Anna Berg Orsland
11 August 1884 --- 24 May 1961Anna Berg Orsland was born to Jacob and Marie Berg on Aug. 11, 1884, at Skjold, Norway. She died at her home in Eagle Grove on May 24, 1961.
She was baptized and confirmed in Norway and at the age of 18, came to Eagle Grove with two older sisters, Gusta and Martha.
On Feb. 10, 1906, she was married to Jens Orsland in Eagle Grove by Rev. O. R. Sletten. They farmed near Thor until they retired to Eagle Grove in 1941.
Mrs. Orsland is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Arthur C. Anderson, a granddaughter, Mrs. George C. Baker, both of Eagle Grove, three great-grandchildren, two brothers, Thomas Berg of Camrose, Canada and Jacob Berg of Eagle Grove and a sister, Mrs. Lewis Solheim of Eagle Grove. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jens, a brother who died in infancy and another brother, Martin, and two sisters, Mrs. Henry Orsland and Mrs. Guttorm Dahl.
