Hannah Thompson Prehm Musk
6 January 1868 --- 11 March 1961

Hannah Thompson, daughter of Thora and Martha Thompson, was born Jan. 6, 1868, in Elmore, Minn, and passed away Saturday, March 11 at the age of 93 years, 2 months, and 5 days.

She attended country school near Elmore and was confirmed and baptized in the Lutheran Church in Elmore. She was united in marriage to Edward Prehm in 1889 at Blue Earth, Minn., and came to Eagle Grove to live that same year. She has resided in Eagle Grove since that time.

In 1913 she was married to Fred Musk. Preceding her in death were her parents, two sons, Robert (Pete) Prehm; Marshall (Joe) Prehm; three brothers, Andrew, Lewis, and John Thompson; one sister, Bertha Stockman. She is survived by one son, John Prehm of Ames; one brother, Martin Thompson of Elmore, Minn.; two sisters, Josie Gaard of Elmore and Annie Underdahl of Erskine, Minn. She has 14 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.

"Grandma Musk" as she was known to so many will long be remembered by the many friends and loved ones who knew her and by the many she befriended through the years.

She maintained her own home until she was past 90 years old and attributed her strength and vitality to the Lord. She lived to see all of her children serving the Lord.

Her remaining years were spent at the Louise Barker nursing home in Eagle Grove where she was tenderly loved and cared for by Mrs. Barker and Carol.
