Agnes Elizabeth Avery Badley
12 March 1868 --- 24 February 1961

Last rites for Mrs. Agnes Badley, 92, were held Monday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Sacquety chapel. Rev. Roy Cox officiated, and burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Badley had been a resident of Friendship Haven, Fort Dodge since 1956 and had been in failing health for some time.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Floyd Bell of Tucson, Ariz., and one son, Bruce Badley, of Lander, Wyo., who were here for the services. Other survivors are five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. John Van Buskirk of Ashtabula, Ohio and one brother Fred Avery of Hayward, Calif.

Mrs. Badley was preceded in death by her husband Anson, who was a long-time employee of the Chicago and Northwestern railroad, and one son, Percy A. Badley.

Obituary

Agnes Elizabeth Badley, daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth Avery, was born March 12, 1868, at Roseburg, Michigan and passed away Feb. 24 at Friendship Haven, Ft. Dodge at the age of 92 years, just a few days short of her 93rd birthday.

June 17, 1896, she and Anson Badley were united in marriage at Croswell, Michigan. They established their home at Eagle Grove, where Mr. Badley was employed with the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad. To this union was born two sons and a daughter.

Mrs. Badley was a member of the First Methodist Church of Eagle Gove, Order of Eastern Star, Eagle Chapter No. 113, and the local Auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Fireman and Engineers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anson and oldest son, Percy. She is survived by a daughter, Mildred (Mrs. Floyd Bell of Tucson, Arizona), a son Bruce of Lander, Wyoming, 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Kate Van Buskirk of Astabula, Ohio, and a brother, Fred Avery of Hayward, California.
