Funeral services were held here Monday afternoon at the Kastler Funeral Home for James Y. Braden, 62, of Chicago, Ill. A former Goldfield resident, Mr. Braden died very suddenly Dec. 23 in Chicago following a heart attack.

He is survived by his wife, two sisters, Mrs. O. D. Atherton of Green Bay, Wis., Mrs. Margaret Mengelberg of Santa Barbara, Calif., and one brother W. J. Braden of Waterloo.

He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Braden of Goldfield.

Rev. Emmett Braselton, pastor of the First Congregational church officiated at the services and burial was in the Braden family lot at Glenwood cemetery, Goldfield.

Mr. and Mrs. Atherton, formerly of Eagle Grove, who were spending the holidays with their daughter in St. Paul, Minn., came for the services. They are leaving soon for Santa Barbara to spend some time with Mrs. Mengelberg.
