O. Dudley, 80, Rt. 1, Edgewater Beach Road, died Wednesday morning at a local hospital. Mr. Atherton was born July 23, 1897 in Missouri Valley, Iowa, and resided in Green Bay since 1954. He was a veteran of World War I. Mr. Atherton, who was employed by the Chicago & North Western Railroad for 50 years, was district storekeeper when he retired in 1962.

Mr. Atherton was a member of the World War I Veterans Barracks No. 1199, the Bower Lodge No. 474 F&AM of Eagle Grove, Iowa, the Consistory of Omaha, Neb., and the Tripoli Temple.

Survivors include his wife, the former Nadine Braden; two daughters, Mrs. Keith (Winifred) Komarek, Aitken, Minn.; Mrs. James (Jean) Stoker, St. Paul, Minn.; two brothers, Cecil, Boone, Iowa; Stanley, Omaha, Neb.; one sister, Mrs. Tom Poncar, Omaha, Neb.; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 336 S. Broadway, after 3 p.m. Friday. World War I Veterans memorial service 7 Friday evening. Masonic memorial service 7:30 Friday evening by the Theodore Roosevelt Lodge. Funeral 11 a.m. Saturday, Wequiock Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Richard Selway officiating. Burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.
