Mr. and Mrs. Howard Jones mourn the loss of their little four year old daughter, Valedia [Veleda], whose death occurred last Thursday afternoon after but a few days of sickness. The child was apparently in good health up to Saturday previous, when it complained of not feeling well. Sunday the childs condition grew worse and physician called, but despite all that loving hands and careful nursing could do the little one passed away on Thursday afternoon about four o'clock. The taking away of one so young, full of life and promise, if made exceedingly sorrowful when the last comes within such a short time. The parents have the sympathy of all in their sad hour.

Funeral services were held at the home Saturday at ten o'clock, Rev. Hoelscher.speaking a few words of condolence to the sorrowing ones. Interment took place in Glenwood cemetery.
