Harold B. Asbe, 75, of Kanawha dies
Funeral services for Harold Bert Asbe of Kanawha were held Thursday, May 1, at 1:30 p.m. in the Kanawha Lutheran Church with Rev. William Perkins officiating. Music was provided by organist, Mrs. William Schroeder and ushers were Doug Kraft and Rodger Tveiten. Casket bearers were Gilbert Asbe, Gary Post, Larry Cooper, Duane Asbe, Herschel Morris, and Larry Cockrell. Burial was in Norway Township Cemetery, Kanawha, with the Ewing Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Harold Bert Asbe, 75, passed away Monday, April 28, at his home in Kanawha. Harold, son of Anfin and Mabel Thompson Asbe, was born February 4, 1911, at Kanawha. He was a resident of Kanawha all his life and attended the local schools there. He farmed with his parents north of Kanawha and was also a farm hand for many local farmers in the area, taking pride in his work.

Haroid was a life-long member of the Kanawha Lutheran Church where he was baptized and confirmed in his faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Merle, and two sisters, Alma and Wilma. Harold is survived by one sister, Glady Shumway of Des Moines; one sister-in-law, Bernice Asbe of Kanawha; two nieces, Peggy Cummings of Adel, and Nancy Loehr of Ft. Collins, Co., and three nephews, Duane Asbe of Clarion, Gilbert Asbe of Williamsburg, and Gary Post of Des Moines.
