21 August 1933 --- 8 July 2005

Dean Elton Huffaker, 71, of Eagle Grove, died Friday, July 8, 2005, at the Wright Medical Center in Clarion. Funeral services were held on Monday, July 11, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. at the Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove with the Rev. James Seibert officiating. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Missouri Valley, Iowa.

Dean Elton Huffaker was born August 21, 1933, in Missouri Valley, Iowa, the son of Floyd and Florence (Wilmott) Huffaker. Dean graduated from Renwick High School. He was stationed in Alaska while serving in the United States Army from 1955 to 1957. He also served in the Army National Guard. On September 17, 1964, he married Betty Huffaker at Omaha, Nebraska and they were together for 24 years. He was employed by Cellotex of Fort Dodge for 25 years, retiring in 1991. He lived in Woolstock from 1973 until moving to Eagle Grove in 1989. He also enjoyed working with leather.

He is survived by his children, Dean L. Huffaker and Christine Eveleth of Goldfield; Dale Parker and his wife, Sheryl, of Des Moines, Ed Parker and his wife, Monica, of Whittemore; Deb Subject and her husband, Verne, of Whittemore; Robyn Schaumburg and her husband, Ron of Woolstock; Becky Arnold and her husband, Perry, of Webster City, and Kenny Parker, of San Diego, Calif; 20 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister. The Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove was in charge of the arrangements.
