Walter A. Carpenter
7 January 1891 ---- 15 May 1958

Last rites were held Monday afternoon at the Kastler Funeral home for Walter A. Carpenter who died May 15th at the Veterans hospital, Des Moines. Rev. Lloyd Meyer officiated, and burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Carpenter was the son of George and Martha Carpenter and was born Jan. 7, 1891 at Vernon Center, Minn.

He is survived by two sons, Marvin Carpenter of Eagle Grove, Russell Carpenter of Webster City and one daughter, Mrs. Glen Kiley of Eagle Grove. Other survivors are two brothers, Earl Carpenter, St. Paul, Minn., and Charles Carpenter, Modesto, Calif., four sisters, Mrs. Herman Mantheny, Mankato, Mrs. Mat O'Connor, Mapleton, Mrs. Nellie Larson, St. Paul, and Mrs. Louis Hendley, Mankato, Minn., also four grandchildren.
