Sadie Wilhelmina Odenheimer Braden
10 April 1862 --- 17 June 1937

Mrs. M. D. Braden, 74, a resident of Wright County her entire lifetime passed away at the home of her son, Herbert Braden, near Ree Heights, South Dakota on Thursday June 17th. Mrs. Braden had been visiting at the home of her son about two weeks and on Tuesday preceding her death she suffered a severe stroke of paralysis from which she failed to rally.

The deceased was born in Troy township south of Eagle Grove on August 10, 1862. She moved with her parents when two years old to the Luni neighborhood near Renwick, where she resided until her marriage to M. D. Braden in 1878. In 1898 she and her husband retired and moved to Eagle Grove, where she resided until recent years. Mr. Braden preceded her in death, having passed away in April 1928.

She is survived by three children, Herbert Braden of Ree Heights, South Dakota; Mrs. George Bawn of Eagle Grove, and Mrs. C. A. Richardson of Renwick, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild as well as three brothers, many other relatives, and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Eagle Grove on Sunday afternoon with the Rev. Breaw, the pastor, in charge. Burial was made in the family lot in the Eagle Grove cemetery [Rose Hill].
