November 1862 - March 16, 1945

Mrs. Rosa Hass Wohlenberg, 82, widow of Carl L., former president of the Iowa Bankers' association, died yesterday in the home of a daughter, Mrs. E. Gordon Fox, 6830 Chappel av. Mrs. Wohlenberg had been a resident of Holstein, Ia., for 50 years. Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Clifford H. Crowe, Clarion, Ia., and a son, Carl C., of Chicago. Services will be held in the chapel at 7639 Jeffery av. at 3 p.m. Monday.

Wohlenberg, S 1/C, U. S. N. Funeral Monday, 3 p.m., at chapel, Jeffery boulevard at 77th street. Interment Clarion, Ia.

Mrs. C. J. Wohlenberg, 83, widow of the former president of the Iowa Bankers’ association, died Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. Gorden Fox in Chicago, Ill.

Funeral services were held at the Eyler Funeral home in Clarion Wednesday with the Rev. Davies of Fort Dodge and Rev. Ralph J. Beebe officiating.

Born in Clinton county in 1862, she was married in 1883 and she and Mr. Wohlenberg lived in Holstein, for 50 years. They celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary in 1941. He died in 1943. Mrs. Wohlenberg was a charter member and past matron of Eastern Star chapter 273.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. C. H. Crowe, Clarion and a son, Carl, in Chicago; and two grandsons, Major C. H. Crowe, Jr., 8th Army Air Force, and Carl Wohlenberg, S1/c. The Eyler Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
