Warren Stanley Parker
23 June 1947 --- 19 October 1992

Warren Stanley Parker was born June 23, 1947, the son of Bernard and Vera Burnidge Parker at Elgin, Ill. He received his education in the Carpentersville, Ill., school system, and graduated in 1965 from the Dundee High Schools Dundee, Ill.

He entered the U.S. Army on June 30, 1967 at Chicago, Ill. Upon his enlistment, he served in the United States for a period of one year. He then served another year in Germany, before entering the Vietnam war on May 17, 1969. Following his tour of duty, he earned an honorable discharge April 17, 1970. He continued to serve in the Army Reserves until June 29, 1973.

He was united in marriage to Sharon Innis of Carpentersville, Ill. on May 29, 1980, at Geneva, Ill. The couple made their home in Carpentersville. He was employed with the Toastmaster Manufacturing Company in Carpentersville before moving to Eagle Grove in 1991. He was a member of the Carpentersville United Methodist Church.

Warren Stanley Parker died at the Community Memorial Hospital in Clarion following a short illness, on Monday, October 19, 1992. He was 45 years, three months and 26 days old.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard Parker. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Tony and Steven, both of Carpentersville; two daughters, Brandy Parker of Eagle Grove, and Stacey Parker of Carpentersville; one granddaughter, Amanda; his mother, Vera Martin of Mesa, Ariz.; four sisters, Joy Chadderdon of Durango, Colo.; , Carol Thompson of Albuquerque, N.M.; Kathleen Parker of Chandler, Ariz., and Wendy (Mrs. Mark) Porter of Mesa, Ariz., and one brother, Kevin, Durango; Colo.

Funeral services were held Thursday, October 22 at 10:30 a.m. at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. The Rev. Scott C. Hall officiated. Burial, with full military honors, was held at the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.
