Zora May Fisher, 82, Webster City, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. John Grebner officiating. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Friday at the Foster Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery.

Zora May Sweazey, daughter of Charles and Carrie Winchell Sweazey, was born June 19, 1920 at Webster City. She received her education in Webster City schools, graduating in 1939. On June 29, 1941, she married Everett LeRoy Fisher at Eagle Grove. The couple farmed in the Duncombe, Goldfield and Kamrar areas, moving to Webster City in 1956. In 1968, they moved to Vinton. Mr. Fisher died on Oct. 23, 1968. She returned to Webster City in 1969. From 1971 to 1974, she lived in Woolstock and operated a grocery store, then moved back to Webster City.

Mrs. Fisher is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Milton and Jane Fisher of Colorado Springs, Colo., Martin and Sharon Fisher of Des Moines; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren; brother, George Sweazey of Webster City; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by son, Dennis Fisher in 1991, daughter, Jane Fisher in 1999, grandson, Troy Fisher in 1972, brothers, Elwin, Garrett and Charles Sweazey, and a sister, Mary Iverson.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, served her church in various groups, VFW, serving in local and district levels and served as the 6th district president for three terms. Senior Citizen's Club of Webster City, serving in the club operations for many years.
