Cora May Williams Orr
14 December 1876 ---- 15 September 1955

Cora May Orr was born December 14, 1876 at Liscomb, Iowa, and passed away September 15, 1955. She was married to John Frederick Orr on December 30, 1896. In 1953 she had the misfortune to break her hip twice and has been in failing health since that time. Since her marriage she has lived in Eagle Grove with the exception of four years. She lived a quiet, unassuming life doing for others whenever need called for it. She died the evening of Sept. 15th.

Those surviving to mourn her passing are two sons, Clarence of Boone, Iowa, and Charles of North Hollywood, California, eight grandchildren, four of whom she raised from childhood and eight great grandchildren, also one brother, Orville Williams of San Jose, California. Mrs. Orr was preceded in death by her husband who passed away in 1947 as well as one son who died in infancy.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Sacquety Funeral chapel in charge of Rev. Roy Cox. Interment was in Rose Hill cemetery.
