MUSKOGEE – Services for Edgar H. Dewel, 75, a resident of Muskogee since 1911, who died unexpectedly Wednesday, were Friday.

Dewel came to Muskogee from Nevada, Iowa to enter the lumber business. Later he opened a lumber business in Wainwright. In 1920, he became an architect, following that profession until his death. He was a member of Bethany Presbyterian church and Masonic lodge 28.

Surviving are his wife, Mabel: four sons, George C. and Charles H., both of Muskogee; Fred, Casper, Wyo. and Edgar, Tulsa; a daughter, Mrs. Martha Croisant, Muskogee; one brother, W. C, Algona, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Burton Thorpe, Algona and Mrs. M. C. Keith, Longview, Wash, and six grandchildren.
