Cora E. Zimmerman Turner
9 July 1876 ---- 25 April 1907

Mrs. Cora E. Turner, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Zimmerman of Dows, died at Minneapolis April 25 of typhoid fever. The subject of this notice was born in Watertown, Wisconsin July 9, 1876. At the age of two years she came with her parents to Vernon township. In early life she taught one term of school in her home district and one term at Iowa Falls. Eight years ago she took a collegiate course at Cedar Rapids business college and after graduation for several years she filled a position as stenographer and typewriter for a business firm in Cedar Rapids. September 5, 1905 she was united in marriage to E. D. Turner, who besides her aged mother and father, one brother, one sister and an adopted sister are left to mourn her early demise.

The remains were brought to Dows Saturday and the funeral was held Sunday at the Presbyterian church.
