Adriantje “Jennie” Beukelman Crane
1 July 1894 --- 30 December 1970

Funeral services for Mrs. R. S. Crane were held from the First United Methodist Church on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev.E. E. Cuddebeck officiating. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery and the Willim Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Crane died Wednesday morning at the Clarion Community hospital where she had been a patient since Tuesday. She was 76 years old.

Born on July 1, 1894 at Pocahontas, she was the daughter of Abraham and Anna Christiansen Beukelman and grew to womanhood in the Pocahontas and Vincent areas. Jennie Beukelman and Robert Sherman Crane were married on November 17, 1915 at Eagle Grove and farmed in Wright County. For the past thirty years they had farmed near Dows and entered Golden Acres Manor this fall.

Survivors include her husband and five children: Richard, Colo; Mrs. Floyd (Mary) Pierce, Fort Dodge; Mrs. Curtis (Doris) Anderson, Ames; Mrs. Arthur (Barbara) Philbrook, Webster City and Mrs. Alice Paulson, Fort Dodge. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren and one brother, Peter Beukelman, Fort Dodge. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert and a grandson, Steven Philbrook.

Mrs. Crane was a member of the United Methodist Church at Dows.
