Earnest Munroe Peters, Sr.
26 March 1899 ---- 13 September 1980

Funeral services for Earnest M. Peters, Sr. of Dows were held from the Willim Funeral Home in Dows Wednesday, September 17 with Rev. Terry Palmer officiating. Burial was in the Dows Fairview Cemetery. He died Saturday, September 13 at the Dows Care Center where he had resided since April of 1978.

He was born March 26, 1899 in Alexander and was the son of Frank and Addie Peters. He was raised and educated in Alexander and was united in marriage to Katherine Schlagel December 5, 1919 in Alexander. After their marriage they farmed in Belmond and in 1939 they farmed in Dows. In 1946 they moved to town and he worked at the Banwell Implement Company until his retirement.

Besides his wife, Katherine he is survived by two sons: Earnest Jr. of Dows and Kenneth H. of El Sobrante, California. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Milford.
