William James Osborne
20 May 1874 ---- 25 October 1940

Dows - William Osborne died Friday, October 25, 1940 at his home north of Dows. William Osborne was born May 20, 1874 at LaSalle, Illinois. He was married in 1898 to Katherine Newcomer. After several years spent at Rowan and Galt, the family moved to Dows where for the past 15 years he has worked at the carpenter trade.

There are left to mourn, his widow Katherine Osborne; three daughters and four sons: Mrs. Frank Erts, Popejoy; Ralph Osborne of Iowa Falls; Dr. Harold Osborne of Gladbrook; Miss June Osborne of Dows; Mrs. B. R. Ferrin of Chapell, Nebraska and Wayne and Elmer at home. He also leaves three grandchildren, two brothers and other relatives and friends.

The funeral was held Monday at the Presbyterian Church with internment in Fairview Cemetery.
