Myrtle Mae Dielman Oler
28 January 1886 ---- 7 May 1969Dows - Mrs. Myrtle Oler, 83, died Wednesday at the Clarion Community Hospital. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Dows. The Rev. W. O. Niles will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery with Willim-Van Hove Funeral Home in charge.
Born January 28, 1886 in Dows, she was the daughter of J. W. and Harriet Peterson Dielman. She was graduated from Dows High School in 1903 and was married to Joseph E. Oler August 23, 1916 in Clarion. She and her husband operated the Oler Hardware Store in Dows. He preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John (Jean) Swan of Saint Louis, Missouri and Mrs. James (Faye) Lavia, Sioux City; two step-children, Mrs. B. O. Kinseth of Belmond and Lyle Oler of Charles City; 15 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren; four sisters: Mrs. Florence Larson and Mrs. Lottie Bailey of Dows; Mrs. Maude Sorensen of Eagle Grove and Mrs. Fern McCoy of Denver, Colorado.
