Catherine Davis Dies at Hospital Here at Age of 89

Mrs. Catherine Davis, 89, 737 7th Street, Nevada, died Tuesday evening at 7:45 at the Story County Hospital in Nevada where she had been a patient for the past six days.

Mrs. Davis was born August 27, 1876 in Wright County, Iowa, the daughter of C. C. and Belle Overacher [Overacker] Gould. She was married to Robert A. Davis May 12, 1897 in Goldfield, Ia. and had lived in Nevada for the past 63 years.

She was a member of the Methodist Church, a 50 year member of the Eastern Star and a member of the National Society of the D.A.R.

Survivors include one son, Glen Davis of Nevada; one grandson, five great grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Lotta Hawkins of St. Paul, Minn. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, and a son and daughter of infancy.

The body is at the Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada where services are pending.
