Everette Thomas Whitaker
28 November 1926 ---- 12 March 1987

Everette T. Whitaker, 80, of Maxwell IA, died Thursday, March 12, 1987, at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Des Moines IA.

he was born Nov. 28, 1926, in Story County IA to Elmer T. and Jessie Whitaker and was a resident of Story County practically his entire life.

Survivors include one son, Eldon of Maxwell, and two brothers, Max Whitaker of Nevada IA and Walter Whitaker of Boone IA. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, and his wife, Naomi, in 1972.

Mr. Whitaker was a retired security guard. He served in the US Navy in World War II.

Funeral services were Monday, March 16, at 11 a.m. at Chet Ryan Mortuary, 5th St. and G Ave., Nevada, with Rev. William Ballard officiating. Burial was in Nevada Cemetery, Nevada, Iowa.
