Miranda Tudor Benton
10 October 1869 ---- 8 October 1945Mrs. W. W. Benton, 75, died at her home Monday evening following an illness of several years duration.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Kastler Funeral Home, in charge of Rev. Clarence Anderson, of the Open Bible church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
Miranda Tudor was born to parents, Francis and Daniel Tudor, on Oct 10, 1869 in Estel county, Irvin, Ky., and died at her home in Eagle Grove, Iowa, on Monday, Oct. 8, 1945 at the age of 75 years, 11 months, and 29 days.
She was united in marriage on Feb 6, 1890 to W. W. Benton. To this union six sons were born, Frank of Eagle Grove. Lawrence, now deceased, Thomas of Bloomington, Ill., Leon of Holmes, Earl of Dows, and James of Rowan.
Mr. and Mrs. Benton went from Kentucky to Illinois in 1895, and from McClain, Ill. to Wright county, Iowa in 1915. For the past eight years Mr. and Mrs. Benton have resided in Eagle Grove. Iowa.
She is survived by her husband, five sons, 16 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and one brother, Jeff Tudor of Dows, Iowa.
Those from out of town who are here to attend the funeral are Rev. and Mrs. Thomas Benton of Bloomington, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Ab. Benton of Heyworth, Ill.
