Glen Phillip Kiley
28 July 1925 ---- 25 January 1980

Glen Phillip Kiley, 54, passed away Friday morning, Jan. 25, 1980, at Trinity Regional Hospital, Fort Dodge. Glen was born July 28, 1925, in Kanawha, Iowa, to Clark and Vola Babcock Kiley. He attended the country school near Kanawha. In August of 1945 he enlisted in the Navy and served during WW II and was honorably discharged in January of 1947. On November 25, 1947, he was united in marriage to Mildred Carpenter of Eagle Grove, at Fairmont, Minn. This marriage was blessed with three children, two sons and one daughter. They made their home in Eagle Grove, Glen was employed by Potgeter Grain Company, then was employed for Pulley Freight Lines for nine years before becoming disabled with heart problems. Glen was a member of the Samuel Lutheran Church, Teamsters Union, American Legion, and Quarter Master in the VFW.

Survivors include: wife, Mildred, two sons: Terry and Larry; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Corinne) Lines, four grandchildren and his father, Clark, all of Eagle Grove; one brother, Leo Kiley, Montana; two sisters: Mrs. John (Edith) Pohlman, Eagle Grove, Mrs. Vernon (Jeanne) Grebner, Renwick. Glen was preceded in death by his mother, Vola and one brother, Wayne.

Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 28, 1980, 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Eagle Grove, Rev. Charles Dutton officiated and burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home was in charge.
