Mrs. Clara Hansen dies after Illness

Mrs. Clara Belle Hansen, 82, resident of the Rotary Ann Home, died there Saturday. She had been in failing health for some time.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the United Presbyterian church in Goldfield in charge of Rev. Frank Elliott. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield.

Mrs. Hansen is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John Flatebo of Eagle Grove, and two sons: Gilbert Hansen of Ackley, and Harold Hansen of Goldfield. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren and one brother, Will Carse, of Denver, Colo. Mrs. Hansen's husband, Hans A. Hansen, died in 1959, but she continued to make her home in Goldfield until 18 months ago when she moved to the Rotary Ann Home. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Goldfield and the Evergreen D.O.C. Club.

Obituary
Clara Belle Carse was born January 14, 1888, at Pontiac, Ill., the daughter of Louis and Cora Bennett Carse. She attended school in Illinois, and came to Iowa in 1906. She was united in marriage to Hans A. Hansen at Quincy, Ill., on Feb. 10, 1909. The couple returned to Goldfield to make their home.

Mr. and Mrs. Hansen became the parents of three children: sons: Gilbert Hansen, Ackley, Harold Hansen, Goldfield, and one daughter, Geraldine, Mrs. John Flatebo, Eagle Grove. Mrs. Hansen continued to make her home in Goldfield after her husband's death in 1959, and resided there until entering the Rotary Ann Home 18 months ago. She passed away there on Saturday, May 16, at the age of 82 years, 4 months, and 2 days.

She is survived by her children, one brother, Will Carse, Denver, Colo., 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Goldfield, the Evergreen DOC, the church circle and the WCTU.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 19, 2 p.m. at the United Presbyterian Church, Goldfield Rev. Frank Elliott officiated at the service, and burial was in the Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield.
