Jimmie Edward Guggisberg was born February 10, 1936, on a farm between Eagle Grove and Vincent, the son of Alfred and Almeda Foster Williams Guggisberg. He was educated in a rural school and in the Eagle Grove school system. Jimmie served in the U.S. Army Jan. 1955 to Jan. 1958.

He was united in marriage to LaDonna Mittlieder of Algona, Iowa on Nov. 19, 1960, at Algona. The couple returned to Eagle Grove to make their home and have lived in the area since that time. Jimmie was employed by Farmland Industries in Eagle Grove.

He suffered a heart attack Feb. 6 and was taken to Trinity Regional Hospital, Fort Dodge, where he died on Feb 16 at the age of 48 years and six days.

He is survived by his mother, Almeda Williams, Eagle Grove; wife LaDonna; three daughters, Shelly, Shannon and Shawn Guggisberg, Eagle Grove; brothers, Robert Guggisberg, Belle Plaine, Minn., Herschel Williams, Lone Wolf, Okla. and Edward Kalabza, Williston, N. D.; two sisters, Mrs. Gordon (Linda) Krueger, Max, N.D., and Mrs. Charles (Laura) Kinison, Eagle Grove; and one grandson, Tad.

He was preceded in death by his father, an infant son, Michael, and one granddaughter.
