Funeral services for Lars G. Larson, 77, were held Saturday afternoon in the Thor Lutheran church. Rev. Edward Swenson officiated and burial was in Rose Hill cemetery at Eagle Grove.

Mr. Larson, who lived alone at his farm west of Eagle Grove, died some time Wednesday, Feb. 4th sitting at a table in his home while doing some bookkeeping. His only son Leslie Larson, found Mr. Larson the following day.

Death was attributed to a coronary occlusion. Mr. Larson is survived by his son Leslie, four grandchildren, his mother, Mrs. Mattie Larson, who is 97, one brother, Henry and three sisters, Mrs. John Sampson, Miss Myrtle Larson of Eagle Grove and Mrs. Vernon Rogness of Minneapolis.

A life long resident of Humboldt county, Lars Larson was born in Norway township. He was married to the former Nannie Helleland of the same community, on Sept. 29th, 1909 and about the same time purchased the farm, which became the family homestead and where he had lived since. Since the death of Mrs. Larson, he has spent much of his time with his son Leslie and family who live on a farm nearby.

Mr. Larson was the secretary of the school board of Norway township, a trustee for the township both for about 50 years. He has held offices in the Thor Lutheran church, and at the time of his death was on the building committee of the new Thor Parish Hall.
