Services were held Tuesday, May 27, 1975 for Mrs. Anna J. Ellston at the Eyler Funeral Home in Clarion with Rev. Oliver Johnson officiating.

Wayne Ebert was the organist and Mrs. Dick Mueller sang. "Old Rugged Cross" and "How Great Thou Art.

Pallbearers were Bill Schultz, Jack Tillman, Richard Meyer, John Meyer, Erwin Ellston, and Charles Ellston. Interment was at the Ames Municipal cemetery. Ames, Iowa.

Obituary

Anna J. Ellston was born August 19, 1884 on a farm at Gilbert, Iowa to Bertha and Andrew Johnson. She was one of eight children. She died May 22, 1975 at Clarion Hospital at age of 90 years and eight months.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church. She was married to Edward A. Ellston of DeSoto, Iowa March 4, 1902 at Story City, Iowa. She leaves three children, Gerald R. Ellston, San Benito, Texas. Mrs. Ralph (Inez) Ihms of Ottumwa, Mrs. Ira (Mildred) Meyer of Clarion, Iowa, one sister, Mrs. Christie Jacobson of Prairie Village, Kansas survived, also a sister-in-law, Mrs. Lela Frederick of Earlham, Iowa. She leaves 17 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Edward Ellston and son, Raymond Ellston preceded her in death.

She leaves a host of relatives and friends.

Card of Thanks: I want to thank friends and relatives for the many cards and visits while Anna Ellston was in the Heritage Home and Hospital, also nurses and nurses aides that cared for her. A special thanks to Dr. Lott, Rev. Johnson and Rev. Wilmot for their many calls. The Family of Anna Ellston.
