Hilda (Holm) Maland
30 April 1876 ---– 7 March 1966

KANAWHA - Hilda Maland, 89, died at Belmond Community Hospital Monday after a short illness. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Holm, she was born April 30, 1876, in Clayton County. The family moved to Wright County in 1890. She was married to Elias Maland March 24, 1894. Surviving are three daughters, Evalina and Myrtle Maland, Kanawha; Mrs. P. M. (Erma) Nelson, Boone; three sons, Omar and Lismore, Kanawha; Paul, Charles City; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Emma Johnson and Lydia Hanson, Belmond; a brother, Edward Holm, Chester. She was preceded in death by her husband, two children, five sisters and a brother.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, of which she was the eldest member. The Rev. Bernard Oebser will officiate. Burial will be in Norway Township Cemetery with Carter Funeral Home in charge.
